The description of the double-vision from seeing a few moments into the future via the Force is so fascinating. That’s why the Force gives them such quick reflexes, they’re literally seeing snapshots into the future. And they’re able to change it, manipulate it. I wish we got explanations like this in the movies and shows.

It’s interesting how one of Thrawn’s abilities is accurately reading people’s facial expressions almost to the point of being able to read their minds, and yet he cannot do that with Vader since Vader’s face is just a mask. He doesn’t even have body language. Hardly has tonal differences in his voice. It makes for an interesting dynamic between the two of them.

I mean, it would be so easy for these books to make it *silly* that Thrawn was taken out of the equation by Ezra. But no. Because space!whales. Nobody is ever going to predict and account for space!whales. It makes Thrawn more incredible while making his defeat still impressive.

I want to go ahead and say I think my favorite thing about these books is how much more impressive it makes the fact that Ezra was able to use the purgill to defeat Thrawn. I mean, this guy is incredible, almost invincible. And he was taken out by an 18 year old orphaned punk with animal magic. It just makes it more awesome because, like, yeah, not even Thrawn could anticipate space!whales.

PADMÉ!!!!!!! Everyone shut up!!! Padmé is here!!!!! Very glad I decided to read this book as well since PADMÉ IS HERE!!!!! And the s6 clone wars stuff is interesting. Even got an Ahsoka namedrop. Also PADMÉ’S HANDMAIDENS LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
