The FMC is the WORST. She has a strong case of savior syndrome, she’s a pathological liar, dumb, and ignorant…need I go on? She literally makes her own life worse and then complains about it. Name a worse main character.

I’m listening to the audiobook and I feel like the main character isn’t supposed to be that old, but the narrators voice keeps making me think she’s 50+

So far, the author wrote that the FMC lived in the south Bronx almost every single time she mentioned her apartment.

“My apartment…in the south Bronx”. “It’s not a great place to live at…the south Bronx”. “Came all this way…to the south Bronx”
