Delightful, emotional characters with substance that are flawed, human and learning what is really important. Second chance with formerly famous actress-BOND girl and star football player that are both dealing with their pasts and futures as they get older (in their 30's). SEP can write on heck of a story!

Darcy loses it altogether and runs to the only place she ever felt safe to her high school boyfriend quarterback Clint Garrett who she hasn't seen in almost 20 yrs. She cheated on him and he dumped her. He is shocked and NOT happy to ever see her again so can they coexist for a few days till she can figure out what to do with her life?

Darcy was crushed and went to a fertility clinic and got pregnant. She was delighted and excited... till she lost it at 8 weeks. She then crawled into a bottle of booze and went to hell. She finally tried to make a comeback at a gala only to have her ex show up with his new "fiancé" who is pregnant!

I am really enjoying this book/audio. SEP's characters are flawed and human but so easy to get attached to them! Dancy Flynn grew up rich and beautiful, she became an actress and a Bond girl. She then married a A list actor and he had her handle all his details and travel with him. She begged him for 6 yrs to let her have a baby but it was not in his plan. When she was 34 he dumped her for a 20 something woman.

It's been a long time since I read a SEP book and I forgot how good they can be. So far this is emotional but delightful. These characters have backstories that are just being unveiled and a tangled past.
