t feels too slow for me and reads like a book I’ve encountered before, with too many similar themes. I’m starting to dislike this trend among some Nigerian authors not everyone needs to write like Chimamanda. I wish more writers would embrace their own unique style abeg.

The story began quite slowly for me, but the pace picked up after Keke's father’s burial, leading into her marriage to Baba Tope. I'm also growing tired of the recurring narrative of a young girl being married off to an older man against her will. While I acknowledge that these stories are valid, they are starting to feel overused.
