There is a certain reaction I have been getting from people when I tell them that I am reading Uncle Tom's Cabin... maybe when I finish the book I will have a more complete thought on why that is. But it just seems like to me that some people believe that, despite how influential this book was, that it is a book that doesn't need to be read anymore
