I want to terribly to like this book but this ending is just not doing it.

Well. I don’t want to be disappointed but I don’t know how to feel

I, aromantic and low empathy, am suddenly sad to see the direction this is going in. I really hoped this would be a queer book that didn’t pull the “omg the bad guy is PURE EVIL because they can’t feel LOVE” card but here we are

Suddenly I’m not feeling it… I think my problem is that we already knew all this. If we waited until now to reveal everything, it’d be more suspenseful. We’re just rehashing what we already know, right back to Marcus

There’s still so much book left…

Dude stop giving your scheme away like that… if you’ve been planning this for years why did you screw it up

It would not be a lie if I said I predicted that. It’s not the worst twist in the world, but I doubted a good mystery author would be setting up the very first guy you suspected for the entire book as the actual BBEG. It had to be someone else. Though there wasn’t a ton of foreshadowing that I recall and I haven’t out this book down all day. Im so/so on this

I have been reading this book so intensely, it might just land a spot as my new favorite.
