I don’t know what level of meta it is when the author in the book. who is the author OF the book. discusses how if he had the power. of being the author Which he is.. then he would’ve made hawthorne something more interesting than a straight white man but alas he’s a homophobic straight white man. i suppose, then, that you actually wouldn’t have!
