I finished this the day before yesterday.honestly i just inhaled this book. I have a chronic illness so I’ve wanted to read this so badly as soon as I heard about this book. In terms of chronic illness rep this is fantastic. It gets into the variable ever changing daily idiosyncrasies of having delicate health, emotional, bureaucratic, isolating, frankly downright draining moments. It also gets into joy connections

Overall I highly recommend reading this. And count me in for Kalle and Lennox’s ( Anahalia) book.
It took me a long time to write my end statements and I barely divulged anything. I think is probably a discussion for a later time. ( Getting a tension headache. The ever loving irony. )

Loved Skylar pointing the differences she saw between her mom and Pike’s. Her observation that you don’t try to explain yourself was a breakout moment.

* It’s hard to imagine people who aren’t close to their families. Happy or something close enough are low key part of the ideal life. Skylar’s family is unsettlingly true scenario. They’re uncomfortable with limitations and unsolvability of chronic conditions.
