Omg “Crown” was such a slow and arduous section

Trunk should not get me as much as it should’ve like it was so interesting and exciting and yes I am spamming but I’m just trying to pretend that what just happened didn’t just happen who the hell is cutting onions they better stop omg

To that ONE person who just HAD to reserve MY copy of this book despite there being FOUR OTHER copies in the city’s central library database. Forcing me to make the EXTRA step to return my old copy and borrow a NEW copy, which this person could have done INITIALLY.

YOU ARE ON MY LIST. I AM BEEFING WITH YOU. IT’S A ONE-SIDED FEUD BUT ITS A FEUD NONETHELESS. 🔪

Roots is over, it’s time for Trunk! (I still don’t know what this book is gonna be about but I’m loving it😭)

The unexpected but very welcome surprise of these references! Steinbeck’s “The Pearl”, Ovid’s “Metamorphoses”, the Epic of Gilgamesh and Macbeth!

I’m glad I waited until now to getting to this book

My analytical brain is tingling and I love that the first three stories follow the broad strokes of birth and death 👀 I wonder if it would continue…
