-_- There's yet again another "we're growing up and my friend is suddenly a bitch and doesn't learn that at all" throughout the book. I don't like that the middle grade genre is just constantly reinforcing to girls that you turn into a preteen and your friends are terrible suddenly.

Excellent. Honestly, I'm glad Auden is the one dealing with Runa and Denny's mom because she's far more assertive. I'm glad she's standing up for them. THIS is what is missing from the typical MG books where friends suck.
