Chapter 41: on the one hand, it is refreshing that the main character is so human. He makes mistakes and pays for those mistakes. On the other hand... With all of the training and all of his experiences and upbringing, you'd think he'd be a little smarter. Maybe because the story is being written by the older version of himself we just get the hindsight, but it often seems he KNOWS he's gonna make the mistake!
