how fucking darling, they are quite literally the perfect pair. crazy how Talia got my ass with that faux foreshadowing 😆 i really thot. the whole family being there rounding out the series makes my heart explode with happiness, we’ve watched these sisters grow exponentially through the years and i can’t believe i have to let them go. Eve & Jacob you are love, managers together 4ever & always.

something i thought was fun, Red being the one to take Eve to Jacob. it felt like a little bit of symbolism to me, besides the fact that he was a convenient choice, that Red who went through his own trial with Chloe be the one to deliver Eve.
Red had to fight his demons and come back to Chloe like Jacob did to be with Eve. it’s a cute full circle thing and i loved having him in that moment regardless of meaning <3

i swear i could’ve truly only dreamt up this book, line by line word for word it was made for me. everything about their confessions was so heartfelt and genuine, true to their characters down to the core. the reassurance the honesty i adored every bit of it! someone turned on the waterworks when he gave her the flowers… my heart is so full for Jacob and Eve.

there’s so much that has happened in this book that i have NOT commented on because im reading it so fast and/or because the moments escape me but i have to say Jacob’s willingness to try to be romantic when he normally couldn’t give less of a shit warms my fucking heart.

“i’m trying to be romantic. you know, like in books. she’s into that stuff.” PLEAK. just because it means something to her 😭

what a chapter! from Eve’s realization to her family meeting speech, which was heartwarming and inspiring as a daughter with a quiet voice, to Chloe + Red and Dani + Zaf making their appearance mysteriously head is spinning!!

i love the boyfriends making their little cameos too, after reading Chloe & Dani within the last 6mo it’s been a treat to see them all interact finally. Zaf & Red are my fav big dogs <3

word to Eve for not backing down, seeing her anger, and acting on it rather than sitting in silence! i want to be you when i grow up girl! she’s paving her own path and not letting expectations and norms dictate her journey!!! go get him tiger!!!

let’s talk about Jacob + growth, the fact that he can recognize he’s letting old scars and trauma speak for him is beautiful. it’s like Jekyll & Hyde switching places in the night, his cold front a trauma response he’s trying to break!! and he’s actively trying to squash it to do better for the woman he LOVESS bc it hurt her!!! the way he immediately tried to go get her and remembered it was 2am im cooked

and we all continue to learn for those who needed self preservation to survive that moving that way is not living. protecting yourself from pain, making yourself numb to get through it, is not living, it’s surviving. Jacob’s absolute cold front breaks my heart bc that’s how it feels to show someone your entire being and feel threatened that they will leave you bc of it. i’m so desperately sad.

and here’s the third act storm 50 pages from the end. I HATE IT HEREEEE!!! if only Eve had told him everything sooner, like she was thinking about. this wouldn’t have all blown up and made our Jacob feel like the fucking fool he looks to be 😭

another thing, her WHOLE ENTIRE family??? ambushing her!?? a girl mentions stockholm syndrome one time! and that’s prob not even the part Jacob’s thinking of.

Jacob asking her about her communication thing, how she has a hard time having “serious conversations”… i fear we all knew. from her looking it up to her very similar but different mannerisms. but i LOVE that he is gently guiding and supporting her IN EVERY WAY!!! CAN WE GET A ROUND OF APPLAUSE! talk about being polar opposites but perfect for each other, omg i wishhh
