The third book opens with a more comedic tone than the previous two. Jalan debating whether to give a severed sheep’s head dinner a respectful burial, with his rice, instead of eating it had me laughing. It’s such a perfectly ridiculous Jalan moment, and it sets the vibe for this installment right away. I would have done the same.
