Years and years of a cold, emotionally dead Darcy, putting “duty” first and painfully neglecting and hurting Georgiana year after year, chapter aftet chapter. He is not a good brother, not even a good master (as Mrs Reynolds said in P&P), he is a self-indulgent stoic (a very real oxymoron there).

I really struggled with his treatment of Georgiana. It didn't work for me.

I am almost 1/3 into it now, and the depiction is painful to read ! This man is not a good brother, and certainly not a good person ! A lousy friend to Cnel Fitzwilliam, who is the only one to point out that Darcy has serious anger-management issues…
It’s the only book by this author that I haven’t purchased. I gave it a generous 3-stars because there were few reviews when I read it, but it’s not an honest assessment of my feelings about the book. Sigh.
