DNF. This lacks substance and so far, this survival tale is boring AF. The religious aspect doesn't bother me. Just the poor execution of a 'based on a true person' and nothing remotely interesting going on. None of the characters are interesting either.

It's absolutely ridiculous for the servant to think that they can sustain the normal way of things when they are on their own. Like, the dumb teenager has more sense than Damienne.

So good of the guardian to drop these 3 off on a island well stocked with everything they need to survive!

So far it's the same thing, over and over: guardian comes, see what she's learned, leaves. That's it. Nothing has really happened and none of it very interesting. First chapter was solid, but now, it keeps going downhill...

It started off strong but quickly becoming rather aimless.

Beautiful writing without it getting flowery.
