No! So much money wasted. Hopefully your next read will be better. I'm pretty rigid about refusing to pay very much for ebooks.

Consider it a calm and introspective character piece, not a speedy adventure. That might help.I‘m with carol, I tend to spend very little on ebooks. It has to be a favourite author with something I am invested in for me to spend that much.
It was for a book club and I dithered over the price for a month. I'll be sticking to my hunches on whether I think I'll like the book in future. It was ghastly.
I borrowed this from the library and still resented the time I spent reading it. The ending made zero sense to me.
I gave it four stars… 😂
