I am enjoying this book so far. It takes place in the 1860's and a group of enslaved plantation workers just learned they are free. I have to see what happens next because the family who formerly owned them was to give the workers 10 acres of land for free per the deceased plantation owner, but will his child follow his wishes 🤔 ...I'll see.
