I could see how much Dex was opening up to Mosscap. They talked about things, their emotions, and their most inner thoughts. When they talked about how even though they have had everything they could possibly want, they felt tired everytime they woke up, empty. They were looking for a purpose. I feel like Dex had already found their purpose, to be tea monk and to help others, but was simply burned out.

These pages really sent a message about how much Dex had grown closer to Mosscap over the few days they have been together. Although at first Dex had pushed Mosscap away, feeling awkwardness and even yelling at it when they felt frustration. However, in now, Dex and Mosscap are comforting each other as well and holding hands. It is interesting to see these kind of interaction between humans and robots.

In this page, I really felt sorry for Dex. They had thrown away everything at hand, just for this trip, only for the road to be blocked. I understood the anger that Dex felt, I would have felt just the same. But I was a little surprised when Dex decided to walk to their destination. I felt like that it is just a senseless thing to do and dangerous. But it shows how sometimes, feelings to overcome logical thought.

Just like Dex, I expected Mosscap to be much different than how it is described in the text. When I think about robots, I think machines that do things for humans. Inanimate things that has no emotions no feelings. However, Mosscap is much more human like. He speaks fluidly, even in a friendly manner towards Dex. It starts conversations and asks Dex questions. Mosscap has made the plot 10 times more interesting.

Although nothing significant have happened yet, something that stuck out for me was the expression crickets. The narrator kept mentioning how they wanted to hear the peace and calm of 'crickets' a probable symbol for peace of the wild and calm environment. I thought it was interesting how the the book started off with the author changing roles at the start of the book. It was an unexpected plot change from the start.
