This book talks about terminal patients having ‘hope’ as a cure-all which can be harmful. But the problem isn’t hope, It’s that people cling to a belief that they won’t have to face death. If they direct their hope to experiencing dying as a spiritual journey, that could be motivating and joyous. First, we need to stop fighting the reality of death. This is a monumental but important challenge.
