How badly I want to have my story narrated by Kundera! What would he say?! What philosophical concerns would my illuminate? Maybe that’s a good goal: to live as though Kundera will narrate you, to live purposefully. I don’t know. I’m really enjoying this read.

Such a multilayered book! We get two perspectives of one couple (Tomas and Tereza), a second couple (Franz and Sabina), and in the backdrop there is an Occupation by Russians. Throughout the book there's a stunning amount of psychoanalysis injected with philosophical musings. It's a wonderful book.

Lovin it. Such a meta-read. Love getting my hand held through the story. Multiperspective and philosophical. The narrator is both there and above watching the story unfold. Characters are scandalous… I love it. So much drama and sex and existential ponderings. Great read so far.
