I feel like it's a lot more subtle and less "in your face" in terms of writing than the other danmei I've read. It's easy to follow but also requires an active reader to understand the characters' inner worlds and reasons for their actions, making it both entertaining and engaging. Plus the protagonists relationship and slight mystery element throughout are just so great and unlike anything I've quite read before. You should definitely give it a shot! <3
