Difficult.
Disgusting systemic abuse. Complacent father. He should be flayed alive.
Im not a father, but I do wish to be. This books really testing that part of me. It's easy and unhinged to just say "we should just kill them" but reading the victims first hand accounts that span the better part of 20 years, and the mention of the sheer volume of young girls and young boys. Sickening.
This can't be forgotten

Its not her fault. But this book pissed me off.
I struggled to empathise directly with her because I am a man. I thought I could empathise with Robbie, her husband. In the beginning sure, i totally could. But the fact he got worse, and aggressive with Virginia as the story was amplified globally. It fucked me up.
I sat there thinking I wanted to be more like this man, and he does this shit. This world is fucked.

Her dad and his mate, the contractor guy, trumx, exstein, jizz-lane, the horse nonce these people.need to be killed with a rock
I can't put myself in this position of hers because I am a man, so ofc my brain is like "fuck man what if that was my daughter or sister or etc"
Its genuinely difficult because, you need to remember this is real

Difficult. This book fills me with a primal rage, that im aware is incredibly unhealthy so I do not recommend this to anyone.
Yet in the same breath, I recommend it to everybody because of how important Virginias story is.
Be good. Live life. Look after animals and helpless humans. If you see evil in front of your eyes, do all you can to end it. Complacency is as sinful as the act itself.
I'd eat her dad's throat

Jesus fucking christ. The systemic abuse. The complacent father.
I think more people in my demographic need to read this or listen to it whatever.
That evil exists and is more wide spread than we want to beleive. I've always wanted to be a father, so this book is really testing the patriarchal side of me.
Its easy and unhinged to just channel emotion and "we should kill them" but for lack of better terms, we should
