I don’t understand her reaction. Her grandmother has colon cancer, and her mother has to go back to Korea to care for her that’s responsibility, not abandonment. Yet she keeps saying she’s being “abandoned,” even though she’s old enough to understand the situation. Especially when she chooses to live in a dorm instead of with her mom, it just feels immature and unfair.
