Still think it's a mistake for Jabba to not already be in charge of his cartel. Means he's only in charge for 3-4 years max before getting killed in RotJ. That's dumb. Hutts live for thousands of years. It really undercuts Jabba's mystique.
I read this in someone's review of the 2nd book and I totally agree - all the Hutt/crime stuff reads like a child's idea of what organized crime is like. It's embarrassingly bad.

I've always thought the rules of sabacc were stupid. Cards that can randomly change literally at any time to any thing is really dumb, and no one would want to play that shit. I get that they wanted it to be more different than simply blackjack-in-space, but they went too crazy with the randomness crap.

The idea that Bria is not only a high-ranking Rebel, but also is the one to think of and propose them formally creating a unified Rebellion, is beyond fucking stupid. Bria being a Rebel is fine - Bria being such an important Rebel is really dumb and reeks of oc donut steel Mary Sue-ness. So goddamn lame. I guess this was technically all retconned by the prequels, though, so that's one saving grace.

Oh, lmao, the Moff in the previous book was named Sarn, not Sam. I should've realized. The first book's ebook copy I had had a similar problem with Zavval, sometimes saying Zawal. But it said Zavval more, and importantly, said Zavval first. On the other hand, the second ebook copy said Sam more than Sarn, and Sam first.

'Even after being separated from him for seven years, she knew him.' NO YOU FUCKING DON'T! You knew him for FIVE MONTHS when you were 17. Still a teenager. It's been SEVEN GODDAMN YEARS since then. Both of you have done a world of growing up since then. YOU DON'T KNOW HIM ANYMORE! God fucking damn Bria is such a shit character, and the Han/Bria relationship is so fucking stupid.

Onto the last. My hopes are abysmally low. I'll be pausing this book to insert the Brian Daley Han Solo Adventures when they come up in the story. That will be interesting to see how it shakes out.
Thank god this is a properly formatted ebook. The ones I found for the previous two were not, with weird and unintended paragraph breaks all over the place. Readable, but annoying. This is a real release.
