For a book that uses a wolf trap as reference for a title, this is about as soapy as they get..A young wolf researcher goes to MT to collar a family of wolves since the alpha male killed cattle. After an fall, a teen boy finds her and helps her back to health and in the process becomes interested in both her and the trapping/tracking system. Small town romance with little about the wolves

Other than loving Horse Whisperer, the other reason I chose this story was its focus on wolves. I mention this having just finished The Feather Thief which among other things reminds us of how human greed caused extinction of millions of birds. Here we see something similar with wolves who were 'harvested' during the 1800s for their fur..UGH!

A different brand of story than Horse Whisperer, but engaging nonetheless. Hopefully Evans will open the spout and fill us with plot twists
