Stealing this from Jupiter, Emily, and Jaycee Ann because I love this idea!

Ask me anything! (As long as it isn't too personal.)

Nekah (Jesus's version) favorite movie or show??

message 2: by Keira (new)

Keira Mueller My favorite movies are Sing/Sing 2 and Pride & Prejudice (the BBC version).
My favorite show of all time is Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse, but I also really like The Promised Land! It's a new comedy about Moses and the Israelites in the desert for 40 years, and it's free on YouTube!

R [for Jesus] Okay so Keira I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE on ALL OF THOSE CHOICES

The Art Worm does pineapple belong on pizza? why do you believe it does/doesn't?

message 5: by Keira (new)

Keira Mueller Yesssss! I actually rarely watch movies/shows, but I will watch any of those anytime. I need to find more BBC Pride & Prejudice fans; I believe it is the superior version!

Keira Mueller @The Art Worm
I have never tried pineapple on pizza, actually, so I cannot give a well-founded opinion on that. I don't believe it would be for me, though.

Izzy Y What kind of music do you like?

message 8: by Keira (new)

Keira Mueller Mainly pop! I listen to music for writing, but it has to be energizing/upbeat. I also have an entire playlist of Barbie songs for my upcoming book, High Heels and Hay Bales, that is definitely my genre of choice! They genuinely have amazing lyrics.

Autumn (Matching With Arin) Think Wooly Thoughts Do you have a celebrity crush?

message 10: by Keira (new)

Keira Mueller Nope!

Finch (KI KI AYY) Oh my gosh the promised land is literally amazing

message 12: by Keira (new)

Keira Mueller I tried to get Keta to watch it, and she didn't really enjoy it! I was highly (mock) offended.

Sydney (no longer accepting friend requests!) What got you in reading? What was the book that got you into reading? What is ur favorite genre?

message 14: by Keira (new)

Keira Mueller I've been reading as long as I can remember. My mom read so many books aloud to us as children, including almost all of the Boxcar Children. I specifically remember enjoying the Thea Stilton books, Nancy Drew mysteries, Hardy Boy mysteries, and the infamous Rainbow Fairies.

My favorite genre will always and forever be fantasy, but I enjoy space operas (as long as they aren't too technical), and some science fiction. I've also come to appreciate the occasional clean rom-com!

jaycee ann ✞ (amator librorum) if you could have a free unlimited supply of books from one author, who would it be?

message 18: by Keira (new)

Keira Mueller Oooh, Victoria McCombs. She writes and then self-publishes a LOT of books, and they are all so lush and atmospheric. I love Mortal Queens by her, and she's releasing A Bride of Fallen Stars in March that I'm dying to read!

emily ྀིྀི ✞ || [fallon's vrs] {robert’s wifey} What’s one book that you disliked but saw a lot of potential and wish you could go back and rewrite it (even though it’s not your book) just so it goes the way you feel readers can get the most out of it?

What’s your writing process for sci-fi? Yk when it comes to having all the tech, places, history, etc. named and organized?

message 20: by Keira (new)

Keira Mueller Hm, maybe Stars May Burn? I've heard a lot of good things about it, but I dnf'ed within a few pages because I couldn't get past the writing style. It was almost exclusively "he did this" and "she did that."

For every one of my stories, I have a drafting document and an absolutely unorganized planning document where I try to keep lists of all my tech and named things. I've read a fair bit of science fiction, so I look at what other authors are naming things (like computers), then use my imagination and a bit of word splicing to come up with some similar-sounding names. For example, I include a fruit called "cinnacot," derived from "apricot" and "cinnamon." I also took Chemistry last year and am in AP Biology this year, so I use a lot of that knowledge when writing sci-fi. I also Google A LOT, like "business buzzwords" and "words related to technology." Then, I look up suffixes, prefixes, and word stems related to what I want, and start mixing and matching until I find a word that looks good. For example, for a very important mineral in my WIP (you'll find out why later), I used the Greek prefix thaum- (meaning miracle) and combined it with a mineral ending to form thaumatonium. Sorry, that was long!
