That was a long book for what actually moved in the plot. Hopefully book 2 is shorter. No real cliffhanger — just she’s pregnant but still rejecting marriage with him, hope better writing comes back in sequel.

Confusing story so far but it feels intentionally so by the author. Keeps me intrigued though slightly slow going. Lots of connections to other books makes me wish I understood the family’s backstories.
