these characters are genuinely good people and that shocks me to this day. yes, they have sinned, but they manage to build healthy relationships and care for those around them in selfless ways. alex was mad at diaz 'cause he broke his vows, when that affected nothing but his own life. diaz blames himself for sleeping with vigga but realizes this is not her fault at all and he'd be stupid to treat her badly. very cute

sunny and alex NEED to have the talk yk? perhaps even kiss again cause to me it's more than clear alex is genuinely into sunny and sunny wouldve kissed her back if she was less socially awkward. is diaz mad he fucked vigga so consequently he now will act as if he hates her? i mean, he chose to break his vow anyway, she just gave him a little push.. this sabbas dude seems smarter than his brothers tbh, im kinda scared

DOES BALTHAZAR FUCKING THINK? i thought he had vomited enough he wouldve learned his lesson back in venice, but thats not the case. he managed to summon a whole demon just to fail miserably ONCE AGAIN. HE SHOCKED THE CHAPEL OF THE HOLY EXPEDIENCY, THATS LIKE INSANE BUSINESS. also sunny and alex finally kissed and it was so awkward but so sweet too. i knew diaz and vigga would fuck, took them long enough if i daresay!

say one thing for the devils book, say that all couples that are now forming are great — and i particularly love balthazar and baptiste with their enemies to lovers sort of dynamic. i would love to see her POV to simply know whether she notices how much balthazar loves her or if shes flirting when he thinks she is. also, her multiple acquaintances come in very handy in most situations, especially when they like her

never thought jakob and rikard would make a hell of a duo (in spite of loving them both so much id marry the two of 'em tbh), but it's clear to me rikard knows how to seize his moment and jakob learned how to tag along for the benefits of all. sunny is genuinely so brave and smart i really have nothing negative to say about her — apart from the fact she and alex haven't kissed yet. VIGGA VS THE DANE WHEN? NEED THAT

I KNEW VIGGA AND DIAZ WOULD BECOME HORNY SOON ENOUGH! she can never get enough fucking and he is easily consumed by his desires (which he has done an extraordinary job holding back until now). funny to me how he became a monk because he got the wrong girl pregnant.. seems to me he was a huge pervert before 'converting'. vigga fighting another werewolf will be interesting, as long as it's not stronger than she is haha

the couples are finally forming! vigga and diaz have a very particular chemistry i thoroughly enjoy, as theyre complete opposites in every sense. sunny and alex are so sweet and i really need them to kiss 'cause sunny is the loyal person alex needs and alex is the kind person sunny needs. baptiste and balthazar are enemies but lovers too (at least on his side lol). jakob and rikard are both my husbands btw theyre hot

even if the humour in this book is a bit too mugc, im enjoying the character dynamics. whenever sunny hides behind jakob or vigga refers to diaz as 'her monk' im screaming. anyway, the fight against this son of eudoxia's is going in a direction i didnt expect: the devils are losing, and their lives are more in risk than ever with the fire sunny accidentally began. hope baptiste and vigga save the day. wheres rikard?!

oh god, i really love jakob and everything about his character. he hates himself and the very (grim) dark things he has done in the past more than he hates the vast majority of enemies he has faced. sunny is such a sweetheart and it breaks my heart to know her worse fear is not being seen by anyone in any way, good or bad. i knew balthazar would fail on breaking the binding, rikard was too calm. alex was badass yum!!

man i absolutely love it when rikard uses his glamour for little things, such as making alex act more like a princess. makes me think of how dangerous he can be when he wants to.. and that he knows balthazar wont be able to break the binding as he isn't doing anything to stop him. i worry for vigga, jakob, sunny and baptiste though, cant have them killing one another at this point of the whole ordeal. sunny is sweet!
