*Spoilers in comments* while the book kept me on edge, and did provide some kind of plot twist, there was so much eye rolling during this book that I cannot qualify it as a good one. However, I did wanna know what the ending was going to be, but the journey to get there was quite annoying, would not recommend.

Lena So this book alternates back-and-forth between two perspectives. One of them is a younger version of Scarlet that is going through college, and essentially her best friend is sexually assaulted by a guy that she had a crush on. Basically Scarlet, or at that time she was referred to us, Carly, attempts to watch over her friend, but develops a crush on her pretty much. She ends up, becoming kind of creepy and stalker, and she ends up at the end of the book, killing her male best friend because he too aggressively tried to hit on her. It’s at that point that she discovers that she has like a lust for killing men that do bad things by women. After killing her guy, best friend she essentially switches schools, and comes to learn about herself that she enjoys again killing men who sexually abuse or abuse, women.

Lena The other point of view is the adult version of Scarlet, who regularly kills men, that abuse, their wife or women in their lives. Essentially, what happens is that she has a boss who she hates, and it turns out that this particular boss was her professor when she was at that university and he tried to sexually assault her. At this point, Scarlet is a full professor and she’s applying for a fellowship program in London. Her boss lets her know that he too, is applying for that program and has an end with the director. She realizes at that point that she wants to kill him. She seduces him and goes over to his house at which point the murder plot goes wrong, and she ends up, killing him in a fire, but under very conspicuous circumstances. It’s also important to know that at that point, Scarlett was sleeping with her teacher’s assistant, who himself was very creepy and sexually assaulted, many women. Basically what happens at the end of the book is that she kills her boss, and pins the murder on her teachers assistant. It turns out the teacher’s assistant again had abused many students at the school. Scarlet also ends up falling in love with her now, dead bosses, ex-wife, and they basically get together. At the end of the book both Scarlett, as well as her bosses ex-wife moved to London together and start a relationship, but Scarlet continues killing men that abuse women.

Lena This book has so much sex in it, to the point where it couldn’t be taken seriously. Also, there were so many moments that were absolutely ridiculous that it was hard to believe. The story was entertaining, and I didn’t wanna know what happened at the end, so I definitely give credit to that portion of the book. But the ending was so unbelievable and difficult to kind of wrap your head around that I cannot recommend this book.
