The dialogs definitely don't work for me, they're not flowing at all, and not believable either.
Loved the reveal of the creature, timing really took me by surprise and its description reminded me of a terrifying Mononoke
However, I think the Windigo trope has been overdone in the last 20y, often badly, and many natives have raised their concerns/annoyance about it so...
