But, I kept going because I love Elsie & her writing and I figured I would eventually love these characters. I was right. When he took her into the city and saw how she glows when she was out of that shitty judgey small town? I fell in love. I love Bailey, her character was so loveable. Beau is whatever, lol, a bit dumb country boy but that's fine. That's part of what I love about Elsie's books, the women are strong

and the men are just eye candy hahaha. So yeah, not rating this as high as Elsie's other books but still decent. It grew on me.

Once I got to the part where his dumba** thinks giving her his last name will change the way a small town thought about her, I also wanted to DNF. Because I grew up in a small town. If they don't like you it does not matter who you marry. They will always treat you like shit.

So, I love Elsie Silver. About 2 chapters in I was considering DNFing this. This is the first book by her that I was not sure about in the beginning. I am no stranger to age gap romance, but I think what bothered me was him referring to her as "little Bailey Jansen" and realzing he was a teenager whens he was born. They grew up in the same small town, so no doubt he knew her as a child. It was just odd to me at first
