Here's an idea people... HOW ABOUT STAY OUT OF THE OCEAN IF YOU'RE ANYWHERE NEAR WHERE THE GIANT KILLER SHARK HAS BEEN HEADED!!?!

Wow, this is perhaps the most surreal moment in the whole book, one of the characters mentions that the antagonist is linked with Osama bin Ladin and then explains who he is because this book was released in '99 and the average person had no clue who he was back then. Just... so weird to remember a time when that name meant nothing to most of us.

turns out... man was the real monster, after all... well... actually the giant shark is a real monster too... and there's something else nasty in the trench, so... maybe more like man is ONE of the real monsters... or something...
