Interesting, so O'Malley sets his series in basically the real world (but with things lurking in the shadows) but he does away with any attempt to square the circle with real living people (anyone more recent the Churchill, basically). The royals, the celebrities, everybody is basically made up, but the Buckeyes still beat Rutger 56-21 in 2019, LOL!

W00h! Columbus, Ohio reference! I know that's kind of silly to be excited about, but it's weird living in a city with ~2 million people (including the burbs) that almost never appears in or is even mentioned in any sort of fiction (I mean, last time I remember reading a book with Columbus appearing was Ready Player One... and that was... a decade ago?)

approximately; there's two things about this book I don't get. First why is the review score so low, I mean, it's nothing crazy special, but so far it's been fine and likeable enough, a solid 3.5-4/5 in my opinion, and also why is there no ebook edition listed? I know one exists because I'm reading it right now, but as far as I could tell goodreads doesn't list one, weird.

Alas, my July of Cradle is over, but as always, a delightful read-through (especially once you get to book 3 and things really start getting good) and hey, 13 books in 30 days, not too shabby
