This is so dramatic and like a soap opera when it is good, and then I struggle through passages about farming. I know very little about the twists and turns of this story having never seen any adaptation, so am surprised at each point which is a delight, though it definitely feels that it is building slowly to tragedy. I don’t know why by I love a horse race scene in fiction.
