My observation thus far- Unlike Pilgrim's Progress, much of the focus is on competing ideologies, so that even though Pilgrim's Progress was written several hundred years prior, I find it more relatable. The current ideas and "Spirit of the age" are different than in Lewis's day, making some of them more challenging to recognize.
