Pushing myself here and I still have about 300 pages to go. Chapter 13 was a chapter of info dumping and the dialogue written was petty in character and poorly executed. Nicole gives off strong self-righteous vibes by thinking less of others in her writing group. Her backstory with Drew only made me think less of her and the author. Desperately needed an editor for this.

Still plodding through. I do not believe Shapiro worked with an editor on this book. I’m disliking first person perspective of Nicole Rayburn along with the other perspectives of other characters (I find them very jarring to the narrative and they take away from the story rather than adding to it).

Writing is very stiff and the characters feel cookie cutter. Idk if I’m going to make it to 400 pages.
