I love Eleanor’s thoughts and perspective. Jackson does a wonderful job with characterization, character relationships, and creating a foreboding feeling. Chapter 4 was a thrilling change of pace. It is refreshing to read about unpredictable ghosts who may be more tangible than other depictions. Side note- Eleanor and Theodora read like lovers to me.

This is a great book to end my reading slump!
