Yeah I would not be able to be in a relationship with someone without touching them. -shudders- the Oankali ask too much.

I chewed through the first book, and did not find the story as satisfying as Butler’s other books. I don’t care for the genre most of the time. Her prose and characters still interest me and I am continuing the second book dispute my dislike. This is where I separated from Le Guin, in that her story was interesting but prose too dry for me. We’ll see how they do on Earth. Onward!
