It is just tragedy after tragedy I don’t know how they continue on. Laia, desperate to find answers to take down the night bringer goes to the kehanni only for her to be killed before she can tell her story, whispers on the last breath to go to the great library and then it gets burnt down. I would’ve given up by now. Also Elias’ slow decent into giving up his humanity is so Stephan Salvatore nachos I love

This is crazy. Laia is the only one who is completely herself. Helene is the blood shrike and Elias is the soul catcher - irrevocably changed. The scene of livia giving birth and the Marcus’ death was so incredible. This is such a human story im actually obsessed. So much devastation and hopelessness.

Oh I LOVE how all the plots diverged and now everyone’s ended up back in antium - laia to get Helene’s ring, Helene to defend against the attack from the karkauns and now Elias because the karkauns have summoned ghosts to posses their warriors. Too good. All of this plus whatever Keris has planned AND the nightbringer and the jinn. Unreal

GAG. The bloodshrike has the last peice of the star and istg if Harper is somehow the nightbringer too omg this is insane. There’s seriously so much going on I can hardly keep up. The shrike has just overthrown Keri’s and now livvy has been poisoned. Also some hints at a darkness brewing in laia from her magic…love her and musas dynamic too

Oh it’s all happening. Laia is trying to take down the nightbringer while Darin tries to make Derrick steel to arm the scholars. And musa is a mysterious new addition. Helene is trying to take down Keris and save the empire and Elias is battling the world of the dead and navigate his role as soul catcher while wildly underprepared. I love this also kind of like the individual arcs they’re all going on
