I hate, hate, HATE when supernatural worlds are spoken about in vague terms at the beginning of books, as if I’m supposed to know the entire world lore. I understand it builds mystery, but it just makes me personally more confused

Perhaps I am just a hateful spirit, but I dream of the day where an autistic character does not follow the stereotypical signs of autism, particularly in the realm of stimming. However, that day has not yet come!

I truly don’t know how I feel about this book so far, but something about Silas is vaguely infuriating to me… I think it’s just the way the author writes, not necessarily the character
