It took me many years to find a copy of this in Dutch - I'd given up on it to the extent that I'd removed it from Goodreads altogether. I'm not even sure now how I found out about this book all those years ago and why I remembered it now, when I'm getting back into Arthuriana. So far this is a new twist on the legend for me. Not sure I like it, but it's interesting.

The blurb describes the writings of this author as "literary events" and I do think that captures the experience. Parts of this narrative were a bit dubious, but I guess that's ~literature. It reads well-researched and thought out, but it's mostly narrative focused. Any character development is tied directly to the plot, and none of the voices felt distinct. That said, it was an interesting take on the legend.
