I really wanted to like this book. I love football and thought I would really enjoy a collection of essays exploring the subject. But despite multiple tries, I just could not get into it. Klosterman's style just doesn't work for me. I never found myself want to pick it up and when reading it I felt the book was never going to get to any sort of conclusion or insight per se.
