It hurts my heart so badly knowing that he was doing so much better near the end, but it still came back to take him...

This is so heartbreaking because you keep hoping that it will stop, that he'll quit the drugs and the drinking, only for him to fall back into it over and over again. I can't imagine how terrifying it must be feeling trapped in addiction, but seeing his constant relapses in spite of how hard he wanted to quit Mae's me so anguished, especially knowing how he died...

I'm actually gonna cry, this man deserved so much better, I can't even imagine the amount of pain he was in...

Every time I pick up this book I need to put it down for a good long while before I pick it back up because it makes me feel so heavy and heartbroken that I just can't go on for long...
