This book is insanely racist and it isn’t even that the story or characters in themselves are racist which is worse because you can’t read it as a negative depiction of racist people or a sort of cautionary tale, the writing is just straight racist. Every non white character is either just called a slur or by their skin color. To an extreme. Idk if I can in good faith finish this one

Ok every time I try to dislike his work for being depraved or self indulgent he pulls through with the most tender and human scene or something… and obv the most stunning imagery/description
