C h 25: Cust exits the “Regal Cinema” (lol) and walks to the Black Swan hotel. He notices a bit of blood on his sleeve. He pulls a long thin knife, also covered in blood, out of his pocket. Cust is frightened; says “It isn’t my fault” aloud. A maid enters and sees blood in the sink, he explains he cut himself. Afraid he’ll be caught, he exits the hotel and heads for the train.
