I enjoyed the writing style of this book immensely and appreciated the immense detail of how trauma affects entire families— but the ending absolutely ruined it and I don’t think I’d recommend it to others. The ending details weren’t“just sad” (sad endings are a favorite ) it was absolutely hopeless and graphic. Anything would’ve been better.
