the publication date of these stories range about 100 years. I'm interested in "moving spirits" that is those on roads, canals, railways etc vs stationary ones in houses and buildings. This anthology has historical info with it, both on railways and on ghost stories with that as a theme - not just Dickens!!!

The British Library has put out an entire slew of ghost and weird tales anthologies each themed to an idea. There are the ones you'd expect like haunted forests or hospitals, but then there are ones like "ghostly sound" that I'm also interested in exploring...after ghost train 651 arrives at its destination!
