By all means be as autistic as possible. I feel like there might be an undiscovered autistic in either this author or the MC or both, honestly. Would explain the handwringing about "not living her life."

Oh, yeah. Amie (and David) are totally autism-coded. I haven't read Siegel's other books yet, so I don't know if this is a through line or anything. Like, Pippa is TOTALLY autistic, but I don't think any of Holly Jackson's other MCs are.
