Finished. I will review it when I have read all 3. For now I will say that Tolkeins world is deep and lived in.
Also, I'll add, I read it wrong at first and needed to adjust. You dont read this as a novel, you read it to enter into a world and this happens to be one story within it. Not for everyone.
Finally, there is great stuff here about friendship, hospitality, temptation, racism, royalty, love, and dominion.
