In the last 30 pages, Burgess brilliantly explores the prime of juvenile delinquency and ultra-violence in this post-wartime fictional world through the theme of relationships with the protagonist's disconnected family his "groogs" and the victims of his crimes. Within these pages there is a lack of societal order. There is no controlling of Alex and his accomplices, which will be their eventual demise.

My first thought of this book is that it is a gruesome and unfiltered show of teenage gang culture derived from trivial and meaningless reasons, where the writer cleverly uses intense Nasdat slang to attempt to dampen the severity of the crimes Alex, the protagonist, and his groogs commit. All within the first 22 pages...
